Contact Snapchat Support
Snapchat has a support team to solve every problem you have with the platform. You can contact this team to delete your account from Snapchat.
Here are the steps you need to follow for this:
- Launch the Snapchat app on your phone, tap your profile icon and go to your profile.
- Tap the gear icon in the top right corner of the screen to access the Settings menu.
- Now scroll down the Settings menu and tap on the “Support Center” option.
- From here, find the “Manage My Account” tab.
- Now select the “Delete My Account” option and follow the instructions given.
Snapchat support will most likely ask you for some information to verify your identity. Once you provide them with this information, they can fulfill your request to delete your account.
Deleting Your Snapchat Account Using Your Phone Number
You can delete your Snapchat account using your phone number without needing your email address. To do this, you must have verified your phone number with Snapchat.
To deactivate your Snapchat account using your current phone number, follow the steps below:
- Open the Snapchat app and select the ‘Forgot Password’ option on the login screen.
- Now, choose the phone number option from the email or phone number options to reset your password.
- Snapchat will send an SMS verification code to your phone. Enter this code in the relevant field.
- After resetting your password and logging into the app, you can use the account deletion option from the Settings section.
Note: Your account will be deactivated for 30 days after you submit your account deletion request to Snapchat. If you log back into your account within this period, your account deletion request will be canceled, and your account will be reactivated. If you do not log in within 30 days, your account and all your data will be permanently deleted.
